Sandi S., Sep 11, 2009, 8:26PM EDTSarah,
How are you doing? I stopped by here to see what you'd posted recently and read the news.
Come on back and give us an update.
You're in my prayers. Hope you are doing well. -
Lela M., May 31, 2009, 9:50AM EDTSarah, Thank you for the friend invite. I am sorry to hear about the diagnosis. I had cancer twice, sarcoma and melanoma, and somehow I got through it with the help of our kind and gracious Heavenly Father and my family. It has been 10 years since the last cancer and I am still here alive and kicking. Keep your spirits up, and rely on others to help you through this. Talking really helps, at least it did for me. The important thing is not to let it consume you. I hope you will join my Cancer is... group. It is a safe environment to talk about your feelings about having cancer and get encouragement. Lean on us.

Karen E., Mar 28, 2009, 9:47AM EDTHi Sarah, thanks for the friendship request. About my icon...I bought a digital art program and was playing around with the paint function. Since my husband is an artist, he helped me with the proportion, shadowing issues. He had painted a picture that I loved and I wanted to emulate it in digital art. There it is. Thanks for asking.

Robert - just a simple man - B., Feb 16, 2009, 9:37PM ESTSarah, thank you for taking such an interest in my writing. My 'Dear Sara' piece came from my two years in San Antonio with many days spent in meditation on the grounds of the Alamo with the only noted research coming from reading the historical novel 'Gates of the Alamo'. "Chronicles of Hatred & Pride" is just the title of my poem. Originally it was to be an epochal poem, but I didn't think it would hold the average reader's interest and so it was greatly shortened. Any other work of the same title by another author is purely a coincidence and unbeknown to me. Thank you for your kind invite. As a born and bred New Englander and a history buff, I sense we have some interests in common. Later tonight, I am posting my latest, "1863 (20th Maine)", I hope you will give it a read. God bless! - Robert
